PTV failed to land the PSL media rights well below the minimum reserve price and let ARY take them easily without much resistance. PTV will now have to purchase these from ARY at a rate they wish to charge. Is this potentially a case of collusion to help a big media house? PTV has let this go without a fight. The question is who is making these calls for a State Broadcaster? Would it now have been more common sensical to team up in a joint bid with another party like last time? Now ARY has a monopoly over PSL telecast and will resell these rights at a much higher price. Something fishy is at play. Worthy of an investigation for PTV at the very least.
